To a man, the band agreed the high point of the jaunt was the 13 July show at Wembley Stadium. “A night to remember for all time” “The whole band was on fire that night”, bassist Garry Gary Beers recalled in 2019. “Michael was so good, he sang his heart out and gave every person in the crowd a night to remember for all time. He truly had that amazing ability to make the biggest shows as intimate as the pubs we grew up in musically. ” INXS needed to be on top of their game that night, not least because they were topping a bill of real pedigree. Their headlining slot was preceded by sets from fast-rising indie-dance outfit Jesus Jones, Irish favourites The Hothouse Flowers, San Franciscan rockers Jellyfish, widely-acclaimed British soul-rock outfit Roachford and iconic Blondie star Deborah Harry. However, as director David Mallet’s recently-restored Live Baby Live  film and its newly-released, 21-track audio counterpart so vividly reveal, INXS were never going to falter. Michael Hutchence and company may have stepped out in front of an awe-inspiring 74, 000 people, but as soon as drummer Jon Farriss hammered out the machine-like rhythm of ‘Guns In The Sky’ and his colleagues locked in behind him, they never once looked back. “One of the biggest global sensations at the height of their powers” The night’s setlist drew heavily on both Kick and X, with vast swathes of the crowd moving as one to ‘New Sensation’ and hollering back the chorus of the sinewy, blues-based ‘Mystify’. Kicking off six consecutive tracks from X, a tense, measured performance of ‘The Stairs’ ramped up the tension, then gave way to the swaggering, wah-wah-driven ‘Know The Difference’, before a soaring ‘Disappear’ provoked an enormous roar from the crowd. Shrewdly, INXS kept a battery of hits in reserve for the home stretch, which included celebratory versions of ‘Bitter Tears’, ‘Suicide Blonde’ and the biggest, phattest version of their breakthrough hit, ‘What You Need’. The latter song culminated in a lengthy call-and-response workout between Hutchence and the crowd; for all his poise and consummate cool, the much-missed frontman was visibly moved by the love his band received that night. “F__ing hell, it looks like all England’s out there! ” he said, his voice cracking with emotion as ‘Suicide Blonde’ wound down. If that wasn’t enough, encores including ‘Need You Tonight’, a heartstring-tugging ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ and a seven-minute ‘Devil Inside’ almost brought the venue’s famous Twin Towers down. By the time the Aussie legends finally relinquished the stage, no one present would have quibbled with executive music producer Giles Martin’s assertion that they’d just witnessed “one of the biggest global sensations at the height of their powers”. Every player should craft the weekly 3x Reappraisal stones (the better your scores, the lesser energy/time you need to invest in Rifts Dungeons to be able to craft them). [Elemental Rifts] Uses less energy/time/crystal to farm your Homunculus. [Elemental Rifts and Light OR Dark rifts] Being able to efficiently craft end-game Fight Runes (needed for most endgame PVE content, like BJ5). [Fire and Light Rifts] Players should be able to perform well on Elemental Rifts and Light Rift. (Dark Rift is not really important, you can achieve everything without scoring well on it). How does scores and boss stages works? Boss has 3 stages: 1st form with weak stats. 2nd form, the "groggy state". 3rd form with strong stats. To get Rank A+ you need to do more than 2m damage. To get Rank S (or SS ou SSS) you need to be able to kill the boss on 3rd stage and be able to do more than 2. 5m damage (or 3m or 3. 5m). Overall tips for getting better scores: To reach Rank A+ is just about being able to do enough damage on the "groggy state", which is basically having a ATK buffer (usually Collen), a reliable def Breaker and good DPS (2A Kro, the god of doing damage on Groggy State because of his 2nd/3rd skill). To reach Rank S is about being able to deal with the peculiarity of each different Rift (more details on next session). An overall tip would be get 2A Mina, she is great on doing damage on 3rd form (which is essential to kill the boss), and she is OP on PVP content. To reach Rank SSS (or SS) it's all about the damage dealt on the "groggy state" plus being able to kill the 3rd form. Usually this is all about rune quality or having good monsters for each Rift. Monster with elemental advantage not only receive extra 15% critical rate, they also deal +50% more damage. So it is recommended to build some monsters for some specific cases. Your best damage dealing runes should be on your 2A Kro. Violent sets on support units are not welcome here, because they make "groggy state" last lesser (AKA less attacks from your DD units). Depending on the rare units you have (like a f****** Perna), my suggested team is going to mean nothing for you. Those suggested team are mostly based on F2P units with few Nat4 exceptions that you probably have (like Chasun). Specific tip for each Rift Dungeon peculiarity: Fire Rift: Suggested team: Front: Sigmarus (L), Collen, Water Homie (or Lapis), Water DD (Xiao Lin or 2A Mina). Backline: 2A Kro, Eirgar. It's all about being able to deal with Fire Minions. My recommendation: Water Homie (or Lapis) on 3x Revenge and 85% Crit Rate and Sigmarus. Speed units and Violent runes are NOT good in here, the more you attack the boss, the higher are the chances of getting stunned. If your AOE DD get stunned, you are probably going to fail. The rune requirements on this rift is low compared to others if you have a Water Homie. Water Rift: Suggested team: Front: Chasun, Bernard. Backline: Verdehile (L), 2A Kro, Eirgar and Wind DD (Ardella). It's all about being able to fill ATB before boss uses his attack that freezes enemy on [Freezing Field] effect. (That's why Verdehile really helps here). This Rift is the easiest to reach rank S and one of the hardest to reach rank SSS (because of the lack of DD units with Elemental Advantage). Wind Rift: Suggested team: Front: Xiong Fei (L), Mav. Backline: 2A Raoq, Verdehile, Hwahee and Collen. OR Front: Xiong Fei (L), 2A Raoq, Verdehile, Mav. Backline: Collen, Eirgar. It's all about being able to fully heal your units reliable after [Eletric Shock] effect. With 2A Raoq and Mav you get lots of cooldown reductions that make healers being able to heal reliable. Verdehile is really important in here for giving your units more turn and more chances of healing (and there are no downsides, since this boss does not deal extra damage based on how many turns you had). With a fully skilled Hwahee, this is probably the easiest Rift to reach SSS and on the other hand, probably the hardest to reach rank S without proper units. Light Rift: Suggested team: Front: Dias, Mav. Backline: 2A Kro, Dark DD, Dark DD and Collen. It's all about having heavy hitters single target units (preferable Dark ones). This was the hardest Rift for me. I was only able to reliable get SSS after I built 2 dark DD units specify for this rift. I built Shumar and Hellea. Your Dark DD need to have some sustain not to die from boss attacks, that's why I use Dias as my tanker here. TL, DR: Put best DPS runes on 2A Kro. Get better runes or specific units for each Rift to go from S to SSS. Don't forget to craft 3x weekly reappraisal stones. Get 2A Mina if you are struggling from A+ to S. EDIT: for clarification, I'm consistently getting SSS on all rifts (on Water I get SS once each 2 refills, on Wind I get SS once each 5 refills, on Fire I get A+ once each 5 refills, on Light I always get SSS). About my runes quality: I still can't reliable do R5 Raid (I can only do it on R4). And for those without Eirgar, just use 2A Mina (on Fire as frontliner and Water as backliner), one of my prefered unit.

After I read the story was about "two sisters each mistakenly believing the other is living out her dreams" I expected a rivalry dynamic causing each sister to try and decieve the other she's doing great. And I was very interested to see this movie. But it turned out to be a black-and-white feminist epic where all men are moronic tyrants and all women - saintly victims supporting each other against the enemy. For better or for worse, real life is much more nuanced and I personally like to decide for myself how I see one situation or another rather than to be fed with sexist perspectives no matter which sex they are coming from! That doesn't mean I don't relate to most of the situations, maybe the most powerful being the one where on a Christmas eve a father says thanks to his daughter for keeping things as usual after the mother has passed away, or basically for taking up her role! I got so furious, I could enter the screen and destroy him on the spot! On the other hand, there is so much ugliness between women too that the perfect sisterly relations portrayed in the movie seem unconvincing to say the least. I know, it's very tiresome to have to decide who the enemy is based on current evidence, but otherwise you risk your freedom every time you decide to trust your prejudice. Because it doesn't matter if you end up in the kitchen with a bunch of children hanging from your apron or performing at the piano if it's not what YOU want.

Ritorna un anno dopo, sola e incinta; il padre, indignato dallo stato della figlia, le mente dicendo che Eurídice è andata a studiare pianoforte a Vienna, la caccia di casa e impone alla moglie il silenzio: la sorella non dovrà mai sapere che Guida è tornata. Con una durata di due ore e venti, il ritmo però è piuttosto lento per uno spettatore europeo, e la storia spesso ne risente, trascinandosi e calando di interesse. Dove il film ha successo è l’atmosfera sfumata della Rio degli anni 50 e 60, con la bella fotografia dei panorami urbani, i locali, e la sua classe media portoghese in un declino che facilmente poteva scivolare nella povertà. Le due protagoniste incarnano bene l’affetto, la nostalgia e la sofferenza della mancanza dell’altra, ma la tensione del film progressivamente va sgonfiandosi. La comparsa negli ultimi cinque minuti della grande Fernanda Montenegro (già nomination agli Oscar nel 1999 per il bellissimo Central do Brasil), in compenso è emotivamente molto coinvolgente, ma viene da chiedersi se basti come ragione per questa troppo lunga saga familiare. With that thought in mind, I don't care about the politics part. I'm looking for story telling. What i can't ignore is the obvious effort to ignore story telling and create a laser point hit piece against an actual television network. Forget creating a cogent story.
If the approach was more along the lines of 'Network' or 'Broadcast News. or even 'His Girl Friday' the story would've held more credibility. Instead, this comes off as an hour and 43 minute version of the Media's reality. In other words - a fantasy. A fantasy that the writers pour in real people and work to make them look bad. What ends up happening is all look bad and there's no conclusion to the film.
Instead of creating solid characters set in the story, the writers and directors present what they want to present to make their case - A flock of blonde "bimbos' to put on screen to sell their "story. In other words, they were sexually harassing those they hired to take the parts in the film. The "Bombshells" are the actresses more than those they portrayed. The two main actresses are far more attractive than the people they play. The third more attractive than just all all women in major television news. Sheesh!
The film makers should say a line in the film, I feel filthy." for presenting the same efforts as they wrote of Fox news in the film.
This could have been so much better if the writers had concocted a tale with fictional woman with greater depth of each character and presented more viable reasons for the bad guy they wanted us to believe. Instead - I guess for libel reasons - the production tippy toes around allegations in hope suggestions begat a bad guy. It just doesn't work.
This is all a pity, because the acting is tremendous. Theron is great. Lithgow gives one of his best performances. The likenesses extraordinary. A bit too much so. The likenesses were so good and knowing one is watching a fictional film, has to have a viewer see this as an effort to portray the characters from a more editorial view point than good story telling.
A better film would've included the Bill O'Reilly, Brian Williams, Matt Lauer, etc. cases. Strip out real names and situations. Make it an investigative reporter uncovering cases all over fictional news outlets and tries to get the story out, but the social media direction of news won't let it appear. THAT would've been a better story! Especially the resolution!
Bottom line: I don't recommend this film. 4 out of ten stars.
Successes: Acting and makeup.
Failures: Story and structure.

The effects are as good as any Western blockbuster and the battle sequences are exciting and well choreographed. The characters are funny and quite endearing. The story is more complex than expected with a good amount of humour and some political subplot involving nukes North South China and US. Good use of some big name Korean stars.
Worth a watch.

Below my expectations. Suppose the disastrous erruption was kept far way behind the scnene. The core is strongly focus on the "rescue" mission in which i think the emphasis was bluntly executed. In the end, it largely does seem like a “too many cooks in the kitchen” scenario, especially when you factor in how much creative control was in the hands of Downey Jr. and his producing partner/wife, Susan Downey. (According to one post-production insider, “When Iron Man tells you something, you listen to Iron Man. ”) But then there’s also that dang dragon’s logjammed sphincter. The studio was reportedly very unhappy with the first cut’s ending, which did feature a dragon, but did not—as it does in the finished product—feature beloved children’s character Dr. Dolittle removing anything from that dragon’s ass. “It felt like a morose father-son story, and there wasn’t a big animal presence, ” an insider said. According to the report, that ending stumped the creative team more than anything until they landed on “bagpipes lodged in the dragon’s rectum. ” I urge you to read the following passage, which should be hung in a museum for future generations to see. “The ending vexed the moviemakers. Even when it was decided that the dragon was constipated, there was debate over logistics. One cut, according to sources, featured  Dolittle removing a boulder-sized stool out of the dragon. In the end, the film showed bagpipes as the constipating culprit, with the good doctor enduring a windful of gas. ” There was debate over logistics.  The next time you’re thinking about taking movies too seriously, please picture a room full of grown-ass adults arguing about what Robert Downey Jr. should extract from a mythical beast’s anus. This was a really good movie of cource it had its problems but it was a great cast, great story and i had a blast. It is not something you have to watch but if you went to The movies this is a good choice.
